RV Conventions Rock
We got a new client - an RV resort (yes, they do exist) - and last week I actually went to an RV Convention out in Perry, GA to research owners of RVs. Got to see some tricked-out motor coaches (tiled floors, stainless steel appliances, flat screen TVs, the works) and chat up some RVers (is that even a word?). It was a lot of fun as I was at least 30 years younger than any participant and because enthusiast events are always so bizarre to outsiders. I pretty much just approached people at random and tried to gather as much info as possible. Plus I got to meet with the reps associated with the industry group that put on the event, so that was cool to meet face to face.
Other than the super cool field trip, busy as always and trying to keep up with lots of work stuff. And speaking of work stuff, check out Multiplotter , an amazing Google maps tool. I used it to plot one of our clients multiple locations and then plot corresponding billboards we are proposing for placement. Now our client can see how close the boards are in relation to the bank. Amazing!

the truth in ad sales
My favorite part is when the media buyer says he's had the proposal on his desk for 3 weeks but hasn't looked at it. And the meeting is tomorrow. That really does happen a lot - except I feel really bad about it and promise to do better next time!
